Apostle Long was regarded in the body of Christ as a ‘father’ to many. While ministering for over 50 years, Pastor Long had broken barriers in both church traditions and media ministries alike. He had been highly esteemed in the city of Washington, DC for his relentless toil in the community addressing social-economic pressures, inner city violence and family conflict. In addition to this, Pastor Long had a heart to respond to national crisis as well. Among his efforts: he was the cause of many area wide initiatives to contribute to the relief efforts for the victims of the 1998 North Carolina Flood, the 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster, and the 2010 Haiti Earthquake to name a few.

Pastor Long embraced his Apostleship, as he served as a covering and advisor to other Pastors around the country. It was his personal conviction that every believer truly encounters Jesus as Lord in their lives, walking in the power that has been promised to us all to ensure a more abundant life.

Known for his C.L. Long Miracle Crusades, Pastor Long traveled extensively; preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ around the country.

Elder Joanne Long was the wife of the (late Apostle Long) having been married for over 54 years. Elder Joanne Long has been laboring in the ministry for over 50 years. Loved greatly by those she serves by her grace and gentleness, Elder Long is known for the passion and power in which she serves the Lord. Queen Long was appointed to the office of Elder in 2007, and has been providing leadership for the women of Scripture Cathedral throughout her life by providing a living example.

Elder Long, takes great joy in sharing the gospel through her great wisdom and personal experience. However, nothing gives her joy quite like the time spent with her grandchildren; Robert McKissick, Promise Long, Damia Adams, Jaelyn and Skyler Moses.
